Soundtrack of the Friendzoned
Since it's a Thursday (hashtag tee bee tee), I'm going to write about the day I got my most viral video.
Almost four years ago (9-6-14, to be exact), I partnered up with Bloodclott Productions and covered their wakeboarding and surfing competition called "Southswell Thrill".
The wakeboard competition started around noon. It was my first time to witness such event and I was pretty amazed at how fast paced it was. There's a certain amount of bravery needed to jump in a slippery board... one this ~*Prinsesa ng Sablay*~ don't have haha! Sige, mga koya. Picture-an ko nalang kayo.
In the afternoon, it started to rain so hard, we feared that we can't push thru with the surfing competition. But the heavens smiled and gave us just enough time to proceed. Jan-jan Mendoza (Urbandub & Bloodclott Prod.) and Franco Reyes (Franco) even caught a couple of waves themselves.

It was my first and, so far, last surfing event coverage and I think I did alright haha!
The day ended with a couple of acoustic performances AND the highlight of this blog entry. Some of the performers are my friends Inky De Dios, Gabby Alipe, and Franco.
Soundcheck with mah boiz, Tansiong, Lord, & Shellby.

I was standing close enough the stage to see the performers' set lists and for Franco's set, I saw that he was playing Roberta Flack's "The Closer I Get To You". Truth is I didn't even know about the song until I came across a video of Franco playing it at Puto Astete's (Kamikazee) wedding. It was really good and I was pretty excited that I am going to witness it live. And to make to moment last longer, I decided to record my own video.
This eager beaver recorded as soon as the song before "Closer" ended. Included in my record is his spiel, dedicating the song to the Friendzoned aka all of us at one point in time. I attached the whole spiel with the song in my upload and of course we, the hugot generation, ate it all up.
It has been four years since I uploaded it on Facebook. It has been shared over 10,000 times and the last comment I got from it? This morning. I uploaded it on my YouTube channel last April and it's getting a lot of mileage there, too.
Grabe.
Anyway, I got a few more videos from that night. If you want to check those out, links are available below.

I will try to post more stories from my past adventures before I forget them altogether.
The weekend is fast approaching. Any plans?
